About Me

I believe that each of us has the ability to heal ourselves. Our bodies have innate wisdom and are constantly reorienting to health. Sometimes we need and want some support in this process.

A little about me…

Finding the academic approach to psychological research and therapy further alienated the psyche from the embodied lived experience, I left graduate studies in psychology and refocused my inquiry and practice towards a more integrative approach of the body-mind-spirit.

Inspired and transformed by years of receiving Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy I pursued trainings in this modality and have since expanded and deepened my practice into a wide array of approaches and philosophies.

Many clients come to me for stress relief, support with anxiety and depression, and chronic fatigue. Others come to address symptoms of autoimmune disorders like Fibromyalgia, Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s. Sometimes clients have more focused health and wellness goals, which we can address with more intensive therapeutic work. Whatever your experience and needs, I endeavor to work with you to build the best approach. I have my tools and skills and you have the greatest insight into your body.

As a trauma informed practitioner, I consider how each client’s physiology, as well as psychology, enters into the work we do together. Conscious touch and informed technique play a vital role in recovery and is key to an integrated approach to healing from trauma.

The healing that has come from the various massage and bodywork methods and the exceptional practitioners I have encountered has forever changed my life.

I am indebted to the people who have held my hand and offered their skills as I’ve come up against overwhelming stress, chronic health challenges, injuries, and the various trying experiences life has brought me.

It is my hope that I can be of support to you wherever you are in your experience. If I cannot, let me guide you in the direction of someone who can. Please do not hesitate to reach out – even if it is just for a referral to another practitioner. It is a great honor to connect people with the right support for them.

With gratitude,

Ainsley
